Well, it depends on who you ask. You may have heard it mentioned that self-care Is not selfish but essential for your overall well-being. I choose not to focus on just skincare but all the pillars such as: mental physical spiritual Social and emotional. If I do not keep all the pillars in check I can crash; burnout. The world is already a rapid fast-paced society, slowing down is extremely important for me. What about you?

Benefits of Self-Care

I know you see a lot of videos these days representing self-care as if it’s only limited to body wash face mask, etc.  I get it but again it depends on you. Recognize what feels your cup up and go from there.  If it makes you happy try to do it as often as you can. If you don’t know where to start I recommend this book. The benefits of self-care is that it can reduce your stress increase productivity and focus enhance emotional resilience it can make you feel stronger relationships,  make you more aware of self.  Overall, it just makes you feel good about yourself hence why you do it as often as you can. I actually discuss this way more here.

Curate a Practical Routine

Assess your habits now to break down where you want to improve in.  Is it time management? Are you stagnant due to limitation of personal growth? Take this self-care assessment in order to find out where you lack. Next, set realistic sustainable goals, try to incorporate them into your daily, weekly or monthly schedule.

Self-Care Doesn’t Have to be Expensive

Do what you can afford at your own pace. Stop comparing yourself to others and what they’re capable of doing. Honestly, a lot of this stuff is free. You just have to be mindful of what it is that you want to focus on. It cost you nothing to walk in the park or going to sleep at the same time every night so you’re rested in the morning.
